The new building will open for the 2026–2027 school year for grades 6–8. A 6th-grade pilot program will launch in 2025–2026 and will be co-located at Tradition Elementary.

Rising 6th-grade students may choose to participate in the pilot year (2025–2026) at Tradition Elementary. Those who do not opt in will attend Heritage Middle School. Starting in 2026–2027, all students in Valor’s attendance zone (grades 6–8) will attend the new campus.

Yes, East Central ISD transportation will be available for both Valor and Heritage.

In 2025–2026, Valor will follow Tradition Elementary’s schedule: 7:32 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Times may change once Valor’s permanent building opens in 2026–2027.

Possibly. Families may request an in-district transfer, depending on availability. Transportation to Heritage will not be provided for Valor-zoned students after 2025–2026.

All East Central ISD middle schools, including Valor, offer sports beginning in 7th grade. Boys can participate in football, and girls in volleyball. All students may participate in basketball, soccer, track, tennis, and golf.

Yes. Valor will include two gyms, tennis courts, and a turf football field.
